| Read the article |On the morning of April 20, Hanoi Law University (HLU) held a working session with Prof. Aikyo Masanori to discuss future cooperation orientations.

During the session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. To Van Hoa, Rector of the University, expressed his delight at reuniting with the Professor in Vietnam. He acknowledged the Professor’s active contributions to the University’s development and partnership over many years. Notably, the close relationship established since 1981 has served as a vital foundation for sustainable collaborative activities between the parties.
The two sides discussed several key cooperative directions for the coming period, emphasizing:
+ Strengthening partnerships with Japanese counterparts based on the relationship between the Ministry of Justice of Japan and the Ministry of Justice of Vietnam.
+ Expanding connections with legal practice organizations, especially Japanese law firms operating in Vietnam.
+ Promoting collaborative opportunities with partner units; specifically, the Professor introduced and planned to facilitate a connection with an international law firm to expand practical cooperation networks.
Additionally, Assoc. Prof. Dr. To Van Hoa proposed that the Professor assist in accessing valuable academic resources and monographs, particularly ancient legal documents, to support training and scientific research.
On this occasion, the University is honored to announce that Prof. Aikyo Masanori has officially become a member of the Scientific Council of Hanoi Law University as of March 2026.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. To Van Hoa extended his deepest gratitude to the Professor for accepting the invitation to join the Council. He expressed high expectations that the Professor would continue to provide practical contributions to scientific activities, training, and the promotion of international cooperation—especially with Japanese partners.
In response, the Professor affirmed his commitment to continue accompanying and supporting the University in developing international relations and enhancing the quality of scientific research in the future.
