| Read the article |On April 22, 2026, Hanoi Law University held a working session with Dr. May Cheong, an expert from the University of New South Wales (Australia).

During the session, the two sides discussed collaborative directions in training and research, particularly in the fields of economic law and consumer protection, thereby contributing to the strengthening of international academic connections. Within the framework of the program, Dr. May Cheong delivered an academic talk to the University's lecturers and students on the topic: “Developing Law via Statutes and Cases: A Study of the Australian Consumer Law.” The lecture attracted the participation of lecturers from the Department of Competition and Consumer Protection Law, along with a large number of interested faculty members and students.

At the talk, Dr. May Cheong provided an in-depth analysis of the relationship between statutory law and case law in the formation and development of the legal system in Australia. The presentation was not only highly academic but also possessed significant practical value, inspiring numerous research and teaching directions for the University's lecturers and students.
The working program and academic exchange with the expert from the University of New South Wales have contributed to promoting international cooperation activities, elevating the quality of education and scientific research at Hanoi Law University, and simultaneously creating opportunities for lecturers and students to stay abreast of global legal development trends.
