| Read the article |On the morning of April 21, 2026, Hanoi Law University welcomed a delegation from the Guangzhou Arbitration Commission (China) for a visit and working session at the University.

Attending the working session, on behalf of the Guangzhou Arbitration Commission, were Ms. Yuan Gujie, Member of the Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission, and President of the Guangdong Law Society; Mr. Wang Guangsheng, Deputy Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and Vice President of the Guangdong Law Society; Mr. Lin Xiaolong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee, Secretary of the Jiangmen Political and Legal Affairs Commission, and President of the Municipal Law Society; Mr. Wang Tianxi, Party Secretary and Director of the Guangzhou Arbitration Commission; Ms. Zi Yangfen, Full-time Deputy Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of the Guangdong Provincial People's Foreign Affairs Office; Ms. Sun Yue, Official of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and Deputy Head of the Department of the Guangdong Law Society; Mr. Zhang Yi, Member of the Party Committee of the Guangzhou Arbitration Commission and Vice President of the Guangzhou International Arbitration Court; Mr. Chen Chen, Deputy Head of the Strategic Development Department, Guangzhou Arbitration Commission; and Mr. Chen Yang, Level-1 General Specialist of the Office, Guangzhou Arbitration Commission.
Representing Hanoi Law University were Assoc. Prof. Dr. To Van Hoa, Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Quang, Vice Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Tuyen, Dean of the Faculty of Economic Law; Dr. Nguyen Thi Thanh Tu, Deputy Head of the International Cooperation Department; and Dr. Tran Anh Tho, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of International Law.
Opening the session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. To Van Hoa, Rector of the University, chaired the reception and extended a warm welcome to the delegates from the Guangzhou Arbitration Commission. Rector To Van Hoa expressed his pleasure in hosting the delegation during their business trip to Vietnam. He also provided a brief overview of the university's history, development orientation, training scale, and recent outstanding achievements. On this occasion, the Rector wished the delegation a highly productive and successful working trip in Vietnam.

Following the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Quang, Vice Rector of the University, engaged in direct and detailed discussions with the delegation regarding areas of cooperation. Both sides focused on exploring the potential for implementing joint research, developing scientific projects, enhancing academic and expert exchanges, co-organizing international conferences, and developing training programs and practical skills courses in arbitration and dispute resolution. Furthermore, the two parties discussed data sharing, exchanging research materials, supporting internships, facilitating career connections, and promoting international cooperation initiatives aimed at elevating the quality of legal education and research.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Quang, Vice Rector, highly appreciated the Guangzhou Arbitration Commission's interest and goodwill in collaborating. He expressed his hope that the two institutions will continue to maintain and expand delegation exchanges, strengthen scientific research cooperation, and share information in the coming time. Additionally, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Quang shared the tentative plan to send a delegation for a visit and working session with the Guangzhou Arbitration Commission in mid-October 2026.
Both sides agreed to continue discussions to concretize the collaborative initiatives in the near future, contributing to the enhancement of legal education and research quality while simultaneously fostering international cooperation between the two institutions.
