| Read the article |On the afternoon of July 9, 2026, Hanoi Law University formally held the Signing Ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Ubon Ratchathani University (Thailand). The event marks a significant step forward in establishing a framework for cooperation in education, scientific research, and other academic activities between the two leading law institutions of both nations.
Overview of the Ceremony
On behalf of Hanoi Law University, the signing ceremony was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Quang - Vice Rector of the University. Also in attendance were representatives of key departments of the University, including: the Faculty of Criminal Law, the Faculty of Civil Law, the Faculty of Administrative and State Law, the Faculty of International Law, the Institute of Comparative Law, as well as the Personnel and Administration Office, the Academic Affairs Office, the Postgraduate Training Office, the Student Affairs Office, and the Library and Information Center.

The delegation from Ubon Ratchathani University (Thailand) consisted of 7 members, led by Mr. Saharat Notayah - Dean of the Faculty of Law. Accompanying the delegation were key leaders and experts, including: Ms. Montria Tearpraseart Kaewta (Vice Dean for Administration), Mr. Treenet Sarapong (Vice Dean for Academics and Student Development), Mr. Apinan Srisiri (Vice Dean for Research and Academics), along with lecturers and members of the Foreign Affairs Committee.

During the working session, the two sides exchanged courtesies, introduced the history and training strengths of each university, and openly discussed strategic collaborative activities. Based on mutual respect and understanding, the two universities shared a common goal of promoting the internationalization of higher education while enhancing academic mobility for their faculty and students.
The highlight of the program was the official signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

According to the signed document, the MOU clearly stipulates the Cooperation Objectives: Based on mutual respect and understanding, both sides agreed to establish a sustainable framework for collaboration in the fields of education, academic research, and other scientific activities. The two universities share common interests in promoting the internationalization of higher education, while simultaneously increasing academic exchange and mobility for the teaching staff and students of both institutions.

The signing ceremony was a great success, concluding with the presentation of souvenirs and a group photo between the two delegations. This 5-year cooperation agreement promises to open up numerous practical opportunities for studying, in-depth scientific research, and cultural exchange for lecturers and students from both Vietnam and Thailand in the coming time.
